Safety & Conduct Policy
Liability, Damage & Customer Conduct Policy
At Level Up Arcade & 1Up Cafe, we aim to provide a safe, enjoyable environment for everyone. By entering our premises, visitors are expected to follow our rules, respect our equipment and behave responsibly.
1. Personal Safety & Liability
Visitors must use all arcade machines, gaming equipment and facilities safely and follow any instructions provided by staff.
Visitors are responsible for taking reasonable care of their own safety and that of others. We are not automatically responsible for accidents, injuries or losses resulting from visitors' own actions, misuse of equipment or failure to follow safety instructions.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
All accidents or injuries must be reported to staff immediately.
2. Damage to Equipment & Property
We operate a zero-tolerance policy towards deliberate damage, vandalism and serious misuse of equipment.
Hitting, kicking, shaking, climbing on or deliberately mistreating machines or property is strictly prohibited.
Where equipment or property is damaged deliberately or through negligence, we reserve the right to recover reasonable repair or replacement costs from the person legally responsible.
Serious incidents may be reported to the police.
3. Removal & Lifetime Bans
Management reserves the right to refuse entry, remove visitors or issue temporary or permanent bans for:
-
Deliberate damage or vandalism.
-
Aggressive, abusive or threatening behaviour.
-
Serious or repeated misuse of equipment.
-
Endangering staff or other visitors.
-
Repeated refusal to follow staff instructions.
Serious incidents may result in an immediate lifetime ban. Decisions will be made fairly and in accordance with applicable law.
4. Children & Supervision
Children aged 13 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult aged 18 or over.
Accompanying adults are responsible for supervising children in their care and ensuring they follow our rules. Financial responsibility for damage caused by children will be assessed according to the circumstances and applicable law.
5. Acceptance of Terms
By entering our premises, visitors are expected to comply with our published rules. Customers booking online must acknowledge these terms before completing their booking.
Nothing in this policy affects customers' statutory rights.
